Head shaking is not a typical sign of Cushing's Disease. There are many causes of head shaking, such as dental disease, guttural pouch disease, trigeminal nerve irritation, etc. You need to have your veterinarian evaluate the mare and if the cause is not readily found, think about referral to a hospital that has the ability to perform advanced diagnostic procedures. However, the cause in some head shaking horses is very difficult to determine.
