Where are the sows with babys

Asked January 28, 2017, 11:33 AM EST

Thanks for you help. Finally shot a 150 lb hog 2 weeks ago. All I see on my trail camera are lone bores or a pair of black and white(Hampshire hogs). The hogs are avoiding me showing up to eat the bait between 12:00 and 3:00AM or other random times. Went out last night at 2:00 AM only to find the bait had been mostly eaten. Trail camera shows the pair of Hampshire hogs had been there just 15 minutes ahead of us and never returned.

Q1 Any way to obtain better feed time control?

Q2 Where are the sows with babys?

Citrus County Florida feral hogs

You can try to set a feeder on a timer. This may "train" the wild pigs to come at a certain time but most people don't have much success. The pigs come when they want to.

Sows and boars travel separately. The sows with young are probably roaming around but just in a different place right now.
