How to plan rows with your Tractor and other equipment

I'm buying a farm and currently doing my planning. Where I need some help or suggestion on what to read is regarding the spacing of planted rows, tractor tires, mulch, etc. It seems like it would be simple if all I planned was just the tractor but I also have to consider the cultivators, seeders, drags, harrows, plows, etc. Can you give me any advice? or is it as simple as just measure everything out and plan accordingly?
