Asked January 19, 2017, 5:21 AM EST

Is it possible to use Round Up on a winter day that hits 60 degrees and spray on the warmest part of the day? Would it be effective? Thanks, Yvette

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you.
The answer is not a simple yes or no. If the plant is not in an active growth stage then the application of this herbicide will not be effective. Some plants are still actively growing with the cooler temperatures but not many. The other question that needs to be asked, how cold is the low of the day or several day period. Usually we are cold enough to make any herbicide application less than useful.
I would wait until consistently warmer temperatures, with lows not below 50 to start the application of this product to get the best results.
