Planting Trres Now

Asked December 12, 2016, 12:02 PM EST

Hello, I am designing and planting a yard for a client and he would like trees planted now--it is mid-December. We've selected camillia, strawberry, and dogwood trees for the project. I feel that it is too late to plant, but given that this is what the owner wants...what do you recommend? Thank you, Susan

Based upon the broadscope of your question and limited details other than homeowner desires and assumption that you are a commercial landscape designer it seems warranted to offer you several resources that can provide information about siteselection, plant choice, and planting season to insure plant survival. This way both you and the homeowner can come to an agreement about weather theses particular plants are well suited to the environment and will survive intact. Thanks for you inquiry!
