Transplanting Nandina

Asked November 22, 2016, 8:13 AM EST

Good morning, Thank you for your service. Is it too late in the year to transplant Nandina? If not, what precautions should be taken to insure its survival? I don't remember the specific variety but it only gets about 5 feet tall. Thanks again, Michael

Nandina or heavenly bamboo, is one of those plants that can be transplanted any time of the year. Preferably, move it before the ground freezes. As with most plants, keep it watered and protect it by adding a 2" layer of mulch.
