When an asparagus plant is fully mature, approximately how large should the root ball diameter be?

Not sure of your question. Asparagus has an extensive network of fleshy storage roots with small feeder roots and can grow to a length of 5 or more feet in good soil.
You can transplant individual plants maybe at least 18 inches or so.
