how to add specified amount of potash

Asked November 3, 2016, 11:53 AM EDT

Hi, Ive used the area and fertilizer calculators and have it figured how much potash I need to use. Now I just need a little help in deciding how to distribute that amount. The results of the soil test says I need to add 1.5 # per sq feet. I am using 0-0-60 potash. I don't know how to figure that out, partly because I suck at math and partly because I have a broadcast spreader. Any advice or links that would help me figure it out would be appreciated. Thank you.

Send me the code for your soil test so I can see what is going on. It is right behind your name and is six capital letters and numbers. I have to see if this what is called the actual number which means the amount of a fertilizer that is 100 % pure. None are. 0-0-60 is 60%. I will have an answer for you as soon as I have the code.
