How can you tell the difference between plantain bananas and regular bananas

Is there a way you can tell the difference between the different types of banana plant

Interesting question, It is very difficult to identify variety types from juvenile plants. Banana plants are propagated from vegetative divisions from a parent plant, so if you know the source of the plants I would suggest identifying the parent plant. You generally need to see the flower and fruit produced before a correct identification can be made. I am in Kentucky, zone 6, so I don"t think I will be able to help. I would suggest you contact your local Cooperative Extension Service Office In Pasco County.
