While stacking wood this week, my husband found a large Yellow Jacket nest in the wood that had been cut and stacked last fall. There are lots of yellow jackets, and also a good number of a larger yellow/black insect. Could there be hornets nesting with the yellow jackets?

Hornets and yellow jackets don't normally live together. It would be best to have a sample to view and pictures of the nest. Our office is located on the Clermont County fairgrounds in Owensville, M-F 8a-4:30p.
