Insect Identification

Asked October 13, 2016, 12:16 AM EDT

I have found 6 of these bugs in the last two days. 2 were on my curtains and the rest were on my pillows. My bed is against a wall and underneath two large windows. I have no grass or trees in my yard, only rocks, but the surrounding houses and area have an abundance of huge trees and plants. I live in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. From what I have found on the Internet so far it is looking a lot like a kissing bug. I really hope someone can identify it as something else.
