blooming begonia maintenance.

Asked October 12, 2016, 4:53 PM EDT

I have a well established bed of blooming begonia that looks to me like some splitting would be good for them. Should I leave them undisturbed? And if not, is October a good time to do the separation?

You do not indicate which kind of begonia you have. Most are annuals and do not survive our winter. Most cannot be split, however, cuttings can be made. If you have a hardy begonia, divisions can be made now if you want more plants. It is not necessary to divide them.
