I live in Lewes about 1 mile from the beach. Can I plant garlic this fall? If so, when the best time to plant and recommendation on variety is greatly appreciated. :)

Fall is the perfect time of year to plant garlic. You may be able to purchase garlic for planting at local nurseries or through mail order. For zones 3 to 6 hard neck garlics to try include Ajo Rojo, Purple Glazer, or Georgia Crystal.
For zones 7 - 10 you can try soft - southern garlic such as Italian Liacono, Silver Rose or Early Italian.

Enjoy your harvest next summer!
