Creeping Charlie takeover

Asked October 1, 2016, 11:20 AM EDT

Hello, I have creeping charlie taking over both my front and back yard. I would like to get rid of it but am concerned on what to use because I have dogs. do you know of a petsafe weed killer safe for grass and pets? Also, should I do it now or wait until spring? Thanks so much! Darbie

Fall is a good time to apply a broadleaf herbicide to kill creeping charlie. Look for a product with triclopyr and has creeping charlie listed on the label. Also, follow all instructions for application timing and amount. Note the label instructions about pets. The label will instruct you as to when pets re-enter the area.

Thanks so much! I will try to find that herbicide. Have a great day!
