It looks like a buckeye -- also known as horse chestnut. The scientific name is Aesculus glabra and it is commonly called Ohio buckeye or American buckeye. You can check out information online and also see the "Aesculus glabra Range Map" (PDF). There is also the red buckeye, Aesculus pavia, commonly used as an ornamental.
