where to find blk walnut trees in oregon

Asked September 18, 2016, 12:06 AM EDT

Hello, I am looking for blk walnut trees grown in Oregon. I would like to make my own, blk walnut hull tincture. Im fine with picking them myself or paying a grower, if there are any trees available. What time of year are the walnut hulls green?
Thank you,

Black walnuts in Oregon are difficult to find. No history of orchards since it is not a prevalent industry in this state. I did find a producer who will ship nuts in the hull. Sharon's Natural Gardens in Delaware. "We started these trees ourselves from nuts grown on my mothers farm. We also can ship the nuts with the husks on in late Sept ember when they are ready for those wanting to make medicine with them. Contact me for orders over 25#s " Here is her website reference http://www.localharvest.org/store/M6681 Sorry I couldn't help you more.
