Asked September 3, 2016, 12:16 PM EDT

My cherry tree is losing leaves, and has a weeping wound on the trunk. Is there any treatment for this desease?

We can't know what caused the damage or whether the tree can be saved without seeing it. The wound you described might be a canker caused by disease or insect damage.

Go here to learn more about cankers that affect cherry trees and what to do about them:

For a definitive answer to your question we suggest asking a certified arborist to assess the tree's health onsite and recommend a course of action.
