Do you know the name of this plant?

This plant is a shrub. It sometimes has small purple flowers. I saw it in the landscaping of a hotel resort. When you rub the leaves it leaves a scent in your hand. The name it was given at the nursery where I purchased it appears to be incorrect as I cannot find any info on it online. I want to know how to care for this plant. Thank you

Aloha and thank you for your AaE question. This plant is a native Hawaiian plant called Vitex rotundifolia or Pōhinahina (and various other Hawaiian names). It makes a good ground cover or potted specimen. It is wind and salt tolerant. It grows well in sandy soils. For further information visit
