Box Elder Bugs

Asked August 30, 2016, 2:31 PM EDT

We have a lot of B. E. Bugs. Online we are getting conflicting reports on weather borax or soap and water actually kills these bugs. We have always had some of these bugs but now we have hundreds, If we have to use other chemicals what could we use? We have a dog that uses the yard alot so we do not want anything that is too harsh. Thanks

Box elder bugs are usually a nuisance but not a serious pest or a pest that does damage.

Soapy water kills many bugs, I haven't found any data that says that proves it kills box elder bugs. It is something you will have to test.
