Blueberry Planting

I live in Grand Rapids, MN and am considering planting blueberries. What is the best time to plant and are there any specific precautions I need to take (apart from deer restrictions)?

Early spring is the best time to plant blueberries but this is the best time to prepare the planting site if you want to plant in 2017. Blueberries have very specific soil requirements. The following websites explain what's needed.
