quackgrass chemical control

Asked August 27, 2016, 11:59 AM EDT

I believe that I have quackgrass in my yard. This obnoxious looking grass grows in round to oblong patches. My plan is to use round up herbicide to kill this grass, and then to dig the affected area up, replace with new dirt, plant new seed. I want to know how long to wait after using round up before I can sew new grass seed. Thank you for your help. Jim Randolph. My e-mail address is jjrcpa111@gmail.com.

Go to:

Under "Chemical Control Strategies, Postemergence, Lawns, click on the 10.

"you will need to reseed or resod the treated areas.
Typically that can occur in 10 to 14 days after treatment. However, be sure to follow product label directions exactly for use and application."

Be sure to follow the directions on your particular container of glyphosate.
