Fruit trees

Asked August 20, 2016, 1:18 PM EDT

Hello, We are wanting to plant fruit trees on our property in Grass Valley/Moro, Oregon and need information about what type of trees would do well for a small orchard. Thank you in advance for any advice or direction you can provide. Barb Spady

Having a small home orchard is really gratifying. You could grow apples, pears, Asian pears, nuts, cherries, and plums successfully in your location. I have attached two terrific publications that will help you in deciding varieties to plant.

Remember to find a sunny location, with great soil and good drainage.
