flying insects in workplace

Can you identify these? The building manager has tried caulking to no avail. They fly toward windows and die there. I think if we could figure out what they were, we could know more about how they breed, etc. in order to eliminate them. They are very small.

The pictures are not large enough to see characteristics that would help to identify them. They are flies. It might be a midge but I would need to see a closer image of the wings for a better ID. Give your extension office a call to see if they can ID the insect or refer you to someone who can ID it. Catch a few in a jar for identification.
