Newely Planted Linden

Asked August 14, 2016, 3:14 PM EDT

I have planted 3 lindens in the past two years, my last one just planted in June of 2016 has developed a leaf fungus. I do have an arborist that feeds my trees every year. This year my birch was treated for fungus. The lindens were fertilized and we have had a lot of rain this summer. What should I be doing for the leaf fungus on the linden. Thanks

It might not be necessary to do anything about the leaf spots. Although the spots are unsightly, they don't appear to be numerous enough to affect the health of the tree. Unless the damage accelerates and defoliates the tree, it will probably grow normally next spring.
