We are encouraging people to kill any Spotted Lanternfly they find. We are suggesting mechanical destruction right now. I hope we will have pesticide recommendations very soon. If you send your email address to me at exs33@psu.edu , I'll add you to my list of people who want to receive those recommendations.

There is no pheromone lure available yet. Researchers are working to develop one. The best lure right now is Ailanthus altissima trees (Tree of Heaven). SLF is very attracted to that tree in its adult stage.

I see you are in Berks County. Are you in one of the municipalities under the quarantine order? If you are finding them in an area outside of the quarantine zone, please let the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture know by emailing Badbug@pa.gov
