glossy black chokeberry

Asked August 9, 2016, 11:14 AM EDT

Hi, When is the best time to move this bush? The spot we have it in does not gibe enough sun. It is still very small in size. Any other tips for moving and or growing? Thanks so much!

Hi,

It would be best to move it in the spring, but it can also be moved in early Fall.

Dig the new hole before digging up the tree. Chokeberries prefer full sun, as you have discovered. When you dig up the tree, get as much of the root ball as you can. Don't plant the tree any deeper than it is currently growing.
