Root barriers effective against Quaking Aspen tree roots?
Can root barriers be effective against Quaking Aspen roots? If they are effective - approximately how deep would they need to be?

Impermeable root barriers should stop aspen roots from spreading. Recommendations on how deep to place them vary from 24-48 inches deep, but since aspens are shallow-rooted I would think the 24-30 inches should be sufficient. The barrier must be high enough to prevent roots from growing over the top as well.
