Identification

Just bought this house and I'm not sure what this is. It's planted in part shade and just started to imerge this July.

Sorry I thought it went together.

I am going to take a stab at your plant's identity but until we know more about the plant I can not be sure. It looks like you may have one of the palmate leaf hydrangeas possibly, Yellow Wax Bells, Kirengeshoma palmata. Stay in contact as your plant grows if you can give us a better look at the whole plant, i.e., stems, trunk, woody or herbaceous, shade or sun and if it seems to need more water or dry conditions. It would also help to see the underside of the leaves. We generally suggest you clip a leaf, place it on a white sheet of paper and take pictures of the front and back of the leaf as close as you can yet get a very clear picture.
