Loquat tree

Asked July 26, 2016, 9:50 AM EDT

This is my loquat tree. It was beautiful this spring, bearing its first fruit. I planted it about 4 years ago and it grew like crazy. Now all of a sudden it's dying. I had 2 Indian hawthornes trees that died with the same pattern. One this spring and one last year. Any ideas? And yes I do water.

From the photo, it looks like your loquat tree may be getting too much water. Most plants need about 1 inch of water a week. A good deep watering once or twice a week will help your loquat to develop a deep and healthy root system.
