Table grape varieties for growth in Central Texas(8b)

Asked July 26, 2016, 9:39 AM EDT

Hi, I have been wanting to grow table grapes in my area but though I can find much information about what types of wine grapes to grow, I can have a bit of a hard time trying to find what types of tables grapes to grow. I was wondering if you could give me any recommendation as to what table grape varieties can or could be grown in Central Texas. Thank you.

One of the best ones that I can recommend is Victoria Red. It is a very large clustered grape with very large berries; however the berries contain one to two seed, but these are not objectionable. It will not die to PD and has survived for over 30 years in the Victoria area of Texas.

Other possibilities include Black Monukka, and Blush Seedless.

Good luck!!
