Plant Identification

I would love to know what kind of plant this is. I just moved into a new home and found this vine growing in my back yard. Is the fruit edible?

This is a Stephanotis vine (Marsdenia floribunda). Common names include Madagascar jasmine, bridal flower and pua male. This plant is more recognizable by its white flowers that are commonly used in wedding bouquets and arrangements, hence the name "bridal flower". The pictures you took are of the fruit which may take months to ripen. It is non-edible. For more information on this plant in Hawaii please visit:
