Curious as to what this bush is

Asked July 11, 2016, 2:10 PM EDT

I have two of these bushes in my yard and they have recently flowered over the weekend.
They haven't been tended to in a year or so and are a bit unruly, standing 7ft tall or more.
I'd love to learn what they are so I can start to care for them.appropriately as they have a beautiful color!

Thank you for attaching the image of your hardy hibiscus, Hibiscus syriacus. They are deciduous shrubs, or small trees, that thrive in our northwestern gardens. Your shrubs have semi-double flowers (more than one row of petals) whereas the example in this link is a single flower (just one row of petals). Enjoy your lovely shrubs!
