Hi Jeff -

Please give me some more details about the wood boring insects you are inquiring about.

Is it the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) that you are inquiring about?
If so, that information is here:
http://www.emeraldashborer.info

Specifically, there are spray control resources on this page:
http://www.emeraldashborer.info/resources.php

For a checklist to see if you have EAB, go to this factsheet:
http://woodlandstewards.osu.edu/sites/woodlands/files/d6/files/pubfiles/checkoff_factsheet.pdf

If you are looking at controlling our native borers or to know the difference between them and EAB, go to this factsheet:
http://ohioline.osu.edu/factsheet/ent-77

In general, native borers only affect stressed trees. There are exceptions, though.

If you are looking at something other than EAB, please let me know the details and we'll get you the correction information.

Thanks!
