What is this tree?

I've seen so many matches so I'm trying to narrow it down to identify what tree this is.

The flower is one from a magnolia. There are several different species of

Magnolia trees. I have included a link that describes some of the more common ones in this area.

From the picture it is difficult to tell if the leaves are whorled, alternate or opposite.

Also is it evergreen or deciduous?

I do feel that the included link should help you to narrow it down.
