Maple trees - very brown in June

Asked July 1, 2016, 5:13 PM EDT

All 6 maple trees in our backyard (and some in the neighborhood) are terribly distressed looking. We noticed it in early June. I think they're big leaf maples but don't know their ages. Can you please tell me what the problem might be and what to do? Big thanks.

Appears it could be drought related. You might want to take a sample to your local Extension office OSU Master Gardener clinic.

Your best bet would be to hire a Certified Arborist to inspect them for you. You can obtain a list of Certified Arborists from www.pnwisa.org

Thank you very much. The Master Gardeners concur it could be drought.
