Fruit trees for Burleson County

Asked June 27, 2016, 2:23 PM EDT

We have a 25 acre property in west Burleson county 13 acres of which are meadow. The soil is PaB Padina fine sand, 1 to 5 percent slopes. We will drill a water well and thus be in a position to irrigate perhaps one acre of fruit trees. Also, we anticipate the need to prepare the planting sites with manure compost or some similar mixture as the soil has 1% organic matter.

I would like to know which fruit trees are most successful in the area. Specifically which varieties of peaches are grown in this type of soil?

Burleson County Texas
