Can you identify this plant and how to control it?

This looks like chameleon plant, Houttuynia cordata.
Chameleon plant is an ornamental groundcover that has the tendency to become invasive and needs to be controlled. This will require some effort on your part. To eradicate it, spray the foliage with an herbicide that contains glyphosate. The foliage of your desirable plants would need to be protected because glyphosate is a non-selective herbicide and will kill any plant that gets the chemical on its leaves. Whenever you see it coming up again, spray it. Eventually you should achieve control but it requires persistence. Otherwise handpulling is advisable.
