Driveway Concern

Asked June 23, 2016, 11:31 AM EDT

Home surrounded by mature Blue Spruce. Roots have caused driveway to buckle. Afraid to repair (replace) driveway for fear of damaging trees. Who might be able to determine for me the risk. Certainly want to keep my trees as healthy as possible.

Thank you in advance for any/all help you might provide.

I suggest you contact a certified arborist. Here is the link to the American Society of Consulting Arborists:http://www.asca-consultants.org/
When you look at the opening web page, you'll see a green button "Find a Consulting Arborist". Click on that and it will take you to a page where you can complete an online form and locate one close to you.
They should be able to suggest how to prepare the area for a new driveway, taking the spruce tree roots into account.
Good luck!
