Berry Cross

Asked June 20, 2016, 12:34 AM EDT

I have a berry in my garden that I believe is a tayberry cross. Is there any way I can find out what it is crossed with? I suspect blackberry or boysen, but could be others

Apparently there is no real way to tell as there are DNA fingerprints only for major commercial cultivars. No such thing exists for random crosses like this plant. It might just have to involve observation of the characteristics of the plant and potential parents.
