Brown leaves on tomato plants

Asked June 15, 2016, 11:43 AM EDT

I have two tomato plants, Rutgers and Early Girl, whose leaves are turning brown. Could you tell me why and how I can help them? I have attached pictures. Thank you!!

Although the picture does not show the location of the discolored leaves,it is normal for the lower, older leaves to change color. It may be the early stages of early blight. As a precaution, remove them to prevent the disease from spreading to the upper leaves.
