Is the Buddha's Hand citron typically grown on its own root?

Might anyone who is familiar with citron's know if Buddha's Hand citron is typically grafted, or is it healthy & robust enough to be 'pure?'

Thank you

Most commercial citrus is grafted to a rootstock. The rootstock is chosen for ease of rooting, disease resistance or some other factor. The top of the tree (scion) is chosen for the type of fruit desired. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddha%27s_hand
