oregon truffle id ?

i found these and was hoping you could poss id tgese the where in keizer. under a mapleor oak by th roots n it apears squirrles where lookin as well, i cant smell as i have lost that sense so i couldnt be sure

Can you please cut one open and take a picture? Looks like it could possibly be a Scleroderma species, but I would need to see the inside to know for certain. Do not eat them as several references cite them as poisonous.

They're not truffles (as in the delicious culinary treat, Tuber species). The literature is mixed on whether the are poisonous or inedible, so either way, don't eat them.
