Grass type for horse pasture

Whats a good type, or mixture of grasses to plant for horse grazing in Jones County Texas ?. I plan on planting this week.

My apologies for a delayed response. Depending on your soil type, there are various grass selections for horse pastures in Jones county. If you have sand, or sandy loam, you might consider planting Bermuda. If you have tighter soil, as with a high clay content, you might consider a mix of other grasses, such as bluestem, lovegrass, sideoats, etc. Below is a good publication regarding seeding pastures for horse grazing, which you may find helpful.
