What is the name of this plant?

Hi, I have this plant growing in my backyard in the middle of my grass. Are they a weed or a plant? What is the name of this? Majority of my yard is always shady all throughout spring/summer. At first I thought it was s different type of grass, because it started out looking like dark green thick tubular-like tall grass, but now it's changed too a yellowish colour grass with a little white flowers (star shaped flowers) on it, just curious if I should transplant it too my frontyard garden, does it spread itselfout throughout a garden like daffodils and tulips do? Thankyou for your time and consideration,

It is a bulb called star of Bethlehem, Ornithogalum umbellatum. Depending on the eye of the beholder it is either a lovely spring bulb or a weed in lawns. See http://hyg.ipm.illinois.edu/article.php?id=448
