Crazy Vine - what is it/how do i kill it?

Asked May 20, 2016, 3:35 PM EDT

There is a large system of vines growing in my rhododendrum (sp?) and It's overtaking my whole garden. Can you help me identify it and let me know how to kill it?

It looks like Euonymus japonicus. To control, cut back the vine and treat the cut stems with glyphosate (Round Up).

Isn't Euonymus japonicus a bush? This is nothing like a bush. After going through the whole garden yesterday, the vine comes out at various points under and is definitely a vine.

Not to question your thoughts - just making sure.

There are Euonymus vines, may be a different species. Treatment is the same.
