Wood from infested ash treeree

I had a large ash tree infested with ash borer. It has been chopped into pieces by LGE tree service. What can be done with the wood --safely without spreading infestation. Thank You

It would be best to use the chipped wood from an infested ash tree on your own property. research done in Michigan a number of years ago indicated that the size of the chips affected the survivability of the emerald ash borer. Here's the link to the factsheet:

The chips can be used as mulch or put into a compost pile. Sharing with you neighboors would not increase risk as you already have the pest in your area.
