confederate jasmine in MN

Asked May 4, 2016, 1:12 PM EDT

In Feb. in Houston, I discovered the amazing smell of confederate jasmine. Will it grow and survive in Minneapolis? I was thinking of planting it. If not, what other fragrant bushes / vines would you recommend?

I am sorry, this is a zone 8-10 plant and will not survive our winters outside, perhaps you can grow one in a pot and bring it inside during the winter. For a list of plants go to http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/yard-garden/landscaping/best-plants-for-tough-sites/ and click on fragrant shrubs.
