Hi, This plant just sprung up in my yard in an area I don't mow, because I am starting to grow some other plants there. Can you identify? It's the plant with the yellow flower, surrounded by ever-present violets. thank you, Amy

This wild buttercup, a meadow and bulbous perennial. There is also a woodland variety that prefers wet woody areas.
