shriveled leaves

Asked April 22, 2016, 2:34 PM EDT

The new leaves on a couple of trees and shrubs in my yard are shriveled. Plants include saucer magnolia, hydrangeas, and a saucer magnolia. Could this be frost damage? Will they recover?

We have had several reports of frost damage on hydrangeas and other woody plant species. In general, this will not affect the health of the plant. Leaf buds are hardier than flowers buds so bloom may be affected. Monitor the growth of the plants and you can send us photos if you notice additional symptoms.
