florabunda rose splits in two.
I have a queen elizabeth rose bush-have had it over 30 years and buried it most of those years. this year it split in two rose bushes as my son removed it from the dirt. There are good root systems on both halves. However, there are also exposed wood-scars about 1 inch by 4 or so inches-2 scars in the root area of each bush. Should I put some sealer on these exposed wood areas before I place the bushes in dirt again. I now have them in water. And if so, what sort of sealer?
